if this is what is needed to get the job done correctly, then we must go in this direction. The sooner things are fixed in Iraq, the sooner our troops can come home. Hopefully that is sooner than later.

sorry fddy...this is not a Vietnam...we are not fighting a country ....there is no roadmap or manual on how to fight such a war as this.Maybe more troops are needed.

ummm ...i don't get what your trying to say...we are trying to establish a new goverment and free a nation....thanks to Iran and Syria funding the terrorists things have gone haywire...

fddy - i don't see the connection you're trying to make between you saying iraq is like Vietnam and Britain /colonies

by designdiva, December 20, 2006

we are not trying to do that! Brittan occupied everything 100 yrs ago! Iraq had an election and has a so called gov. The problem lays with the insergents, with help from the other countries. America is not the problem over there...they are

fddy stop talking, you have no idea what you are talking about.

I don’t think 20-30k soldiers will help to stabilize the situation in Iraq. Designdiva, the ongoing civil war that is taking place is between native Iraqi sunnis and shias. I agree that both sides are funded to some extent by neighboring countries, but that is not the reason why there is so much bloodshed. Longstanding hatred between ethnicities and struggle for power are reasons for the bleak situation in Iraq

Yes I do know it is between the sunnis and shias.....the hatred go back to Biblical times and no matter how much the world tries it will be that way forever or at least until The Lord returns. But until then the world has to deal with....
